狗年將屆，中央銀行按例在農曆年前發行「狗年生肖紀念套幣」，限量12萬套，25日起在臺灣銀行各分行公開發售，採現場排隊方式購買，每人每次限購1套。

央行表示，今年發行的「戊戌狗年生肖紀念套幣」，是央行發行的第3輪生肖紀念套幣第2套，採銀幣（面額為100元）及銅合金幣（面額為10元）各1枚組合成套。銀幣含銀1英兩，正面為局部鍍金的臺灣土狗圖樣，背面為三太子神將陣頭；銅合金幣正面以太極印象描繪生肖「狗」，背面則為上彩的蘭花。

央行指出，生肖套幣的包裝底座及展示架結合成一體，豎立時可雙面展示，提供更佳的賞玩體驗，且包裝精緻，極具珍藏價值。由於往年生肖套幣常造成民眾搶購，為求公平，今年仍按往例，於銷售日前在營業大廳公告，說明每個分行分配的套幣套數，並安排民眾排隊動線，由警方維持秩序，讓銷售過程公平、公正、公開。（央行提供）
